I want to thank ASFSR for all thier love and support. I suffer from this disease, and the only way I get through this is the love from my family and friends. Bree I love you more than words can say, and I want to thank you for your courage and uderstanding. It's very hard for such a young lady to see her mom ill. If any one needs to talk please call me any time. Positive energy is very helpful. And what you surround yourself matters. I am reading the book

Dear Mom,
I hope you begin feeling better soon.I am so sorry you have to face this horrible disease, and nobody should have to. Once again it is time for us all to take this disease head on and tear it down until it is nothing anymore. Mom, this disease is all trying to destroy our lives but it could never do that it isn't stronger than our love for eachother and I hope you realize that.
Feel better as soon as you can so that we can have some fun!

I have a 10 year old daugher that was diagnosed with linear scleroderma four years ago. My daughter is still taking medications, but new spots on her skin keep occurring. Her legs are now covered with bans of scar tissue. I know that its pretty rare in children and I'm wondering if anyone out there has any advice for me or any type of treatment they've tried that works well.

My mother is eighty one years old and only recently diagnosed with limited Scleroderma after years searching for a diagnosis. We are blessed that she has escaped a much earlier battle with this disease, however, the reality is sinking it that this is going to be a most unpleasant circumstance. I'm sending this out as a little prayer for all sufferers and their loved ones that in some very special way the event of this disease in our lives will reveal to us the one best treasure of our troubled existence: a clearer image of the face of God and above all, the unspeakable witness of His ever-present love in the midst of our suffering.
